Social Studies

Grade 5 students are concluding their unit on the foundation of our government. These students in Mrs. Harrington’s class are analyzing a variety of situations our government faces to figure out the branch or branches that would handle it.

Chorus Concerts

Another spectacular week of concerts at Saxe!  On June 7th, our 5/6 grade Chorus had their concert and June 8th was the 7/8 Chorus.  If you weren’t able to attend them, we have included the video links below for your enjoyment!

Saxe Interns

Interns Kelly Marchiony and Oliver Tuff have been helping students in Miss Collins 6 Blue Science classes. They have gone with students to Waveny, worked on STEM challenges, helped proofread projects and taught students about rockets.

Photography Club Show

The Photography Club had their end of the year show on Friday. Throughout the Fall and Spring, students have been meeting every B and E day to learn about digital photography. In addition to taking photos, some days were spent learning about how to shoot photos, while others were spent learning how to edit them using Photoshop. Each member selected their best pieces from the year to have on display. Parents were invited and observed the work while asking questions to each of the photographers. It was a great turn out and major success. Congrats to all involved!

Odyssey of the Mind

Another Saxe ODM team creatively pushing their thinking to the utmost while making friends across the nations and languages. All three Saxe teams came home with much to be proud of. There were 740 other teams from 10 countries competing at Michigan State University! It was an absolute joy to see their hard work come together.

(Anaya Bhondele, Tanishi Kansal, Amelie Mitra, & Anushka Dave)

Special Olympics

Our very own Daniel Yang competed in the 25m freestyle and 50 backstroke at the Special Olympics last weekend! Way to go, Daniel!
