Dear Saxe MS Family,
Congratulations on a successful “Day 1” of the 2025-26 school year at Saxe Middle School! Whether it was greeting & welcoming our students back into the building, seeing them connect with old or new friends, or experiencing the joy of them interacting with their teachers, there were wonderful moments throughout the entire day. What a great way to start the new year!
Dr. Ferreira and I made rounds to visit each core classroom to say “Good morning”, “Welcome back!”, introduce (or, reintroduce) ourselves to every one of our students, and remind them how happy we were to see them. We saw some fun team-building, “get to know you” activities, conversations on “hopes and dreams” for the year, some challenging problems to solve, and students and staff putting down the foundation of a positive learning environment they will “live in” throughout the course of the year. I could not be prouder of our students and staff.
We captured a few snapshots from throughout the day and are pleased to invite you in to see some of the magic by viewing this brief “Welcome Back, Day 1” video. We will be capturing more moments throughout the week and include many more photos and examples of what makes Saxe Middle School special in the first full Saxe Weekly on Friday (8/29).
