Dear Saxe MS Family,
Congratulations on a successful “Day 1” of the 2026-27 school year at Saxe Middle School! Watching students reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, and greet their teachers made for wonderful moments throughout the entire day. What a great way to start the year!
Dr. Ferreira and I made rounds to each classroom to say “Good morning” and “Welcome back,” and to remind each student how happy we were to see them. We saw team-building activities, “hopes and dreams” conversations, and the first steps in building the positive learning environment our students and staff will live in all year. We could not be prouder.
We captured a few snapshots from the day, which you are invited to view in this brief “Welcome Back, Day 1” video. We’ll keep capturing moments from the week, which will be included in our first Saxe Weekly of the year, tomorrow (8/28).
