Re: Mr. Jonathan Adams Appointed as Dean of Students at Saxe Middle School
New Canaan Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jonathan Adams as the first Dean of Students at Saxe Middle School.
As Dean of Students, Mr. Adams will collaborate with the students and staff at Saxe Middle School to develop programs and activities to promote a positive school climate and culture. He will serve as a liaison to community organizations that support and offer service for our students. He will also encourage a smooth transition to Saxe for students; as well as oversee other activities promoting a safe and effective school environment.
Mr. Adams received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education at William Paterson University, a Masters Degree in Health Education from Lehman College, and an Intermediate Administrative Certificate at Sacred Heart University.
Mr. Adams joined the New Canaan Public School District in 2010 as a Health Education Teacher at Saxe Middle School and has served as the K-12 Health and Physical Education Coordinator since 2016. He has been an exemplary leader in the NCPS community as a member of the Curriculum Leadership Council, Emotional Intelligence Team, and the Employee Wellness Committee.
